‘We will never forget this betrayal’ Brexit Party warns Remainer MPs days are numbered
Nigel Farage’s Brexit Part began their conference Tour in Southport on Friday and some of the most thunderous applause came as MEP Claire Fox attacked Britain’s politicians for betraying the people. Ms Fox took aim at the Liberal Democrats and their plan to Revoke Article 50 but also Boris Johnson’s confidence that he will be able to steal Labour Leaver voters. Ms Fox began by saying: “By delaying the election, I think that they hope that we will have forgotten their betrayals.
“They think if they throw a few policy sweeteners at the regions then we will all simply fall into line.
“But I think the charlatans underestimate just how exposed they are.
“We can see, in plain sight, the state of mainstream political parties and what a ramshackle mess it really is.
“The traditional party system is in a volatile place at the moment and everything is up for grabs.

“Brexit has already irreparably damaged the cosy party system.
“We have the misnamed Liberal Democrats, half of the MPs are unelected defectors.
“Jo Swinson now thinks a second referendum is a moderate compromise so she has illiberally and anti-democratically proclaimed she is going to revoke Article 50.
“It is a disgrace to democracy.
“We have the SNP and Plaid Cymru who claim that they want independence but then begging Brussels for continued dependence on big Europe.”
The Brexit Party MEP then took a moment to criticise the Tory Parties handling of Brexit and reflected on the apparent confidence the Party has regarding maintaining votes with Boris Johnson helming Brexit.
She said: “We have got tough-talking Brexit Boris, a true blue Conservative who seems to think he can waltz into Leave-voting Labour constituencies with what I fear will be a tweaked withdrawal agreement.
“I fear he thinks he can take working-class activist voters with ease.
“All despite decades of Tory policies that have socially obliterated those same communities.

“I’m sorry but the Tories don’t own the Brexit Party even led by Boris, no party owns Brexit voters and that includes the Brexit Party.”
The room then erupted into thunderous applause as Ms Fox emphasised the Brexit Party would never take the support from the electorate for granted.
Lib-Dem leader Jo Swinson earlier this week hinted that her party are currently in “serious discussions” with Plaid Cymru to agree on a pact at the next general election.
Both parties have remained consistent in their Brexit message insisting, given the opportunity, they would campaign to stop Brexit altogether.
