Was Princess Diana’s brother SNUBBED from Archie christening amid Prince Harry feud?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry elected to have a private christening for their two-month-old son Archie, with no one seen arriving and only two photos released afterwards. In one of the photos, family members stood around Meghan and Harry and baby Archie, smiling. Present were Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, Prince Charles, Camilla, Kate and Prince William. Harry’s aunts Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes were also invited and smiled proudly in the photo behind Meghan, but Earl Charles Spencer was notably absent.

Was Charles Spencer snubbed from Archie christening amid feud with Prince Harry?

Earl Charles Spencer, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes are siblings of the late Princess Diana and uncle and aunts to Prince Harry and William.

While Lady Sarah and Lady Jane were present at the christening earlier this month, Charles was not – and this could be down to a long-standing feud.

A source told The Sun: “It was no surprise that the Earl was not at the christening as he and Harry have been distant for a long time now.

“The falling out goes back years and it is hard to see them ever making amends.

“Harry has always been closer to his aunties and he is not a big fan of Charles or his wife.”

Another source added: “The earl is paying the price for his selfishness.”

The tension between the earl and the Royal Family began in 1993 when Diana and Charles split up.

He wrote back: “I am sorry but I have decided that the Garden House is not a possible move.

“There are many reasons, most of which centre on the inevitable police and press interference that will follow.”

Charles Spencer also famously condemned the royals at Diana’s funeral and criticised the removal of Diana’s HRH status saying she “needed no royal title to generate her particular brand of magic”.

However, he supported Harry and older brother William following Diana’s death in a car crash in Paris in 1997.

He also promised to protect and guide the siblings during the memorial.

Rumours of long-standing bad blood between them had been quashed in May last year when Charles and his third wife Karen Gordon were seen at the back of St George’s Chapel for Harry and Meghan’s wedding.

However, this latest snub could mean all is not forgotten.
