US health officials approve Covid vaccines for babies as young as 6 months
The US health regulator has authorized coronavirus vaccines for children as young as 6 months old.
The Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) authorization on Thursday allows shots from Pfizer and Moderna to be used on kids 6 months to five years old.
They can be administered as part of a three-dose series for children.
FDA officials encouraged parents to get the shots for their children ‘especially as we head into the holidays and winter months’.
