ULEZ cameras doused in red paint on first day making them ‘useless’
ULEZ cameras have been vandalised on the first day of the expanded zone rollout.
Pictures have emerged of the devices doused in red paint, obscuring their view of traffic entering the controversial expanded zone at Cray Avenue in Orpington.
Two of the four cameras on the road were obscured, rendering them useless as the new zone came into effect today (August 29).
The expansion plans have come under fire since their announcement, and opposition has only grown in recent weeks, with several organisations actively campaigning against the zone.
