The BBC has been accused of “overselling” its Olympics coverage amid complaints from viewers struggling to watch Team GB’s flying start to the Tokyo 2020 Games. Broadcaster and journalist Dawn Neesom said that the BBC had promised “to be the entire of broadcasting the Olympics”. However, she said that the BBC are showing just 350 hours of live TV, compared to nearly 5,000 in the Rio Olympics of 2016.
