Trump’s specialist KILLING team to join him on UK tour amid safety concerns

Hawkeye is often spotted following the US President around while he attends major functions and rallies. The move comes as part of a huge security operation to protect Trump and his family while they make their historic first official visit this week. Some estimate that protection costs will reach around £25m to create a “secure zone” around Buckingham Palace.

According to the Daily Star, officials in the US have Hawkeye at the heart of its security plans.

Hawkeye is a team dedicated to defending Trump.

The group is made up of members of the Secret Service Counter-Assault Team and can be deployed a moment’s notice.

In the past, they deployed to stop any attacks against officials.

The team was formed after an assassination attempt on ex-President Ronald Reagan.

They are trained to counter ambushes and fight in close quarters.

The increased protection comes amid anger against his three-day visit.

Officials are so concerned about protestors, they have been forced to cancel the pageantry of a horse and carriage ride with the Queen.

Trump will not ride up The Mall to Buckingham Palace with Her Majesty as security officials have warned it would be a “nightmare” to police, The Times reported.

The US leader will instead be welcomed by the Queen at the palace, avoiding any demonstrations.

London’s Metropolitan Police is gearing up for a major operation ahead of the Republican’s arrival tomorrow for his state visit.

A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said: “A very experienced command team is preparing the multi-faceted policing and security operation for the president’s visit and whilst the Met has a responsibility to ensure the right to lawful protest this needs to be balanced with the complex requirements of this policing plan.”
