Camilla's face mask difficulties discussed by royal commentators

Camilla’s message comes as millions of people around the world offer their thanks as part of Thank You Day celebrations which honour the work of doctors, nurses, volunteers and many other workers throughout the year. In an Instagram post on Sunday, the Duchess of Cornwall, raised a glass to volunteer workers and thanked them for making “an enormous difference”.

Camilla, who is also the president of the Royal Voluntary Service, said: “On this very special #ThankYouDay, I wanted to say a heartfelt ‘Cheers’ to every single one of this country’s wonderful volunteers, who have made such an enormous difference to us all over the past year.”

Royal fans were quick to support the Duchess and also offered a message of thanks.

One social media user said: “As a volunteer I’d like to say ‘Thank you your Royal Highness for acknowledging our efforts’.”

A second wrote: “Ah, Your Royal Highness, you are truly a gem! And thank YOU for your service, kindness and involvement in many important causes.”

Another said: “Thank you and his royal highness for all that you do to help and support others.”

One more said: “Oh she’s great! Cheers for Volunteers – we need to say thank you so many times.”

A fifth person wrote: “It was nice of the Duchess to give people their due, especially the health care workers!

“Thank you for your unselfish giving of your time and skills!”

The message was accompanied by a lovely image of Camilla in a white floral dress and a light blue cardigan.

In the picture she is also seen holding a glass up as if toasting to the volunteers.

One royal fan said: “You look fantastic! Thank you for honoring those, and thank you for everything you continue to do!”

Another said: “Such a wonderful sentiment. Cheers to you HRH The Duchess of Cornwall for all you do each day for the UK & The Commonwealth.

A third added: “Thank you Camilla. Thank you both for continued love to the nation throughout this pandemic despite your own sadness…. We love you.”

One more penned: “What an incredibly beautiful and stunning photo of HRH, she looks so lovely! Wonderful words, indeed, they can all be so proud of what they’ve achieved.”
