Officers led the woman away from Windsor Castle and St George’s Chapel after the incident. The whole of the United Kingdom fell silent for a minute of reflection ahead of Prince Philip’s funeral at Windsor Castle.

Pupils at the Duke of Edinburgh’s former school, Gordonstoun School, in northern Scotland stood in silence for Prince Philip.

The Gordonstoun School bell tolled slowly to mark the start of a minute’s silence for Prince Philip, and a Scottish piper played bagpipes.
