Police were called to the St Stephen’s Health Centre close to Roman Road in Tower Hamlets, just after 11 am on Wednesday.

They found three people with stab injuries, who were taken to hospital. It was reported their injuries were not life-threatening.

One man was detained close to the centre and was also taken to hospital. Video from near the scene showed a man in underwear being led to a police van.

St Stephen’s health centre provides GP appointments as well as psychology and mother-and-baby services.

Cordons remain in place in the area while enquires continue.
