Three people found dead inside house in 'unexplained' circumstances

Three bodies have been found at a home in what are being described as ‘unexplained’ circumstances.

Paramedics were called to the property in north Manchester after receiving a report of concern for welfare at 3.30pm on Monday.

Emergency services called police to the scene in Failsworth, Oldham, and three people were pronounced dead.

Police said they are treated the deaths as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.

A large presence of police, fire and ambulance vehicles were pictured at the scene on Monday evening, while a front garden was taped off.

One man who lives nearby said he saw emergency services including police, paramedics and fire crews outside the property when he passed by at around 5pm.

He said: ‘We had no idea what had happened at that stage but there was a lot of them.’


A police spokesperson said: ‘At 3.30pm on Monday 28 December 2020, police were called by paramedics responding to a report of concern for welfare on Oldham Road, Failsworth.

‘Officers attended. Three people were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

‘Their deaths are being treated as unexplained. Enquires are ongoing.’
