Three arrested over murder of dad 'shot in front of family' on Christmas Eve

Three men have been arrested in Sweden on suspicion of murdering a man in front of his wife and child on Christmas Eve.

Flamur Beqiri, 36, the brother of former Real Housewives Of Cheshire star Misse Beqiri, was shot multiple times on his doorstep at around 9pm on December 24 last year.

He had just returned to his home in Battersea, south-west London, with his wife and young child when the lone attacker struck.

The three Swedish nationals – aged 33, 31 and 22 – were arrested on October 8 at addresses in Stockholm and Vaxjo under a UK European Arrest Warrant, the Met Police said.

All three will now face extradition proceedings through the Swedish judicial system.

Swedish kickboxer Anis Fouad Hemissi, 23, was previously charged with Mr Beqiri’s murder and was extradited to the UK from Denmark in June.

It is claimed Hemissi flew into the UK four days before with the sole purpose of ‘executing’ Mr Beqiri in an organised hit before travelling to Copenhagen.

He is due to appear at the Old Bailey on December 1.

Mr Beqiri, a Swedish national who had Albanian heritage, had been living in London for over four years at the time he was shot.
