‘Theresa May MUST go NOW’- Rees-Mogg agrees May has ‘let down’ people across the country

European Research Group leader (ERG) Jacob Rees-Mogg concluded that the UK needed a Prime Minister who believed in Brexit rather than Theresa May who has “let down” the people. The Brexiteer  MP introduced LBC caller Michael who called for Theresa May to resign now following the Conservative party losing 1000 seats in the local elections on Thursday. He began by saying: “Just listening on the news we have lost over 1000 seats.

“I have to say this, Theresa May has to go.

“When is she going to wake, is she going to go walking this weekend and think about it?

“1000 seats gone, does that not tell you something.”

Mr Rees Mogg replied: “Yes, and hard working councillors who rely on the leadership of the party to get routine policy decisions right and deliver on their promises and they have been so let down.”

The caller continued: “Absolutely, I used to say to people, look you have got the MPs in Westminster, and I take you out of this, you and Boris Johnson, they haven’t listened to what we want

“We voted, 17.4 million voted out.

“Theresa May has just got to go, get someone in who can grow a pair alright and get the job done.”

The LBC host added: “Yes, we also need someone who believes in Brexit.

“We need to embrace Brexit as a positive rather than trying to pretend it is a problem to be managed.”

The enraged caller then began to list a selection of MPs he believed would be a more fitting Prime Minister than Theresa May, including Mr Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson.

The caller closed by saying: “When I lived in London Boris Johnson was then the mayor of London.

“I have got to say, everyone is always saying that he is a fool or a buffoon, no he is not.

“He did a damn good job I thought for the London assembly there, he would have my vote no trouble.”
