1. She never wears bright lipstick
No matter the occasion, Kate always sticks to a nude or pinkish lip colour, and is never spotted in the redder or brighter hues favoured by Queen Elizabeth and Princess Anne.
Bold lipstick is often a risk at public events as it can lead to a wardrobe malfunction, such as lipstick on the teeth or staining expensive clothes.
2. She never wears too much make up on her face
The Princess of Wales likes to keep things natural, with her go-to look consisting of glowy skin, thick brows and rosy blush on her cheeks.
She sometimes opts for a smoky eye for glamorous red carpet events.

3. Her make up never runs
It is crucial that Kate’s make up stays in place throughout each busy day, even she’s taking part in sports and other physical activities.
She most likely brings her make up out with her to touch it up, however she can never be seen to do this in public, so she also probably uses a primer and setting spray to keep her make up in place.
4. She never looks unkempt
No matter the weather, Kate’s hair and make up is seemingly never out of place, keeping her looking poised and elegant all day.
She has regular blow drys, even putting on a full face of make up and having her hair done just hours after the birth of her children for the royal photocall on the steps of the Lindo Wing.
5. Her hair is always tamed
Kate’s classic brunette locks are never messy and is always blow-dried, and she uses colour to keep any stray grey hairs at bay.
Royal protocol forbids any unnatural hair colour, meaning Kate stays close to her natural mahogany brown, keeping regular appointments with a colourist.
6. She never wears heavy eye make up
Other than her occasional smoky eye for evening events, by day Kate wears bright and natural eyeshadows, which also helps to avoid heavy make up running and ruining her look.
Her routine consists of eyeliner on the outer corner of the lower lash line, a matte brown eyeshadow on the lid and a coat of mascara to brighten the eyes.
7. She never uses heavy contouring
Kate’s youthful complexion is maintained without a heavy contour, instead she prefers to use a dewy foundation and liquid highlighter which accentuates cheekbones just as much as a contour shade would.
