Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcomed their baby daughter on Saturday, September 18 at 11.42pm. The royal baby was born at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London and weighed six pounds and two ounces. The arrival of Beatrice and Edoardo’s royal baby has been met with delight from royal fans and the Royal Family alike.

The Queen and Beatrice’s parents Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew are “delighted” with news of the royal baby’s arrival over the weekend.

A statement from Buckingham Palace said: “The new baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news.

“The family would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care.

“Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well, and the couple are looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf.”

Christopher Woolf, known as ‘Wolfie’ by family members, is Edoardo’s first child from a previous relationship, and he will undoubtedly be excited to meet his new little sister.

As of yet, there is no word on a name for Beatrice’s bundle of joy, neither is there any inclination who will be the baby’s godparents.

But along with Beatrice and Edoardo as her parents, the royal baby is sure to have several members of the Royal Family in her life as she grows up.

Here are just some of the Royal Family members who will likely be very close to Beatrice and Edoardo’s new baby.

The York family – Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew

Beatrice’s parents Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, and Prince Andrew are delighted to welcome another member to the York family.

Sarah has previously spoken of how much she adores her first grandchild, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, who Princess Eugenie welcomed earlier this year with her husband Jack Brooksbank.

Sarah told HELLO! this summer that she thinks her grandson is “phenomenal”.

She said: “He’s a very strong little chap. August thinks I’m hysterical.”

The Brooksbank family – Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank

Three members of the Brooksbank family are likely to be very close to Beatrice’s new royal baby.

As an aunt and uncle, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank will undoubtedly be around while Beatrice’s baby grows up.

And baby August will now be able to count Beatrice’s daughter as a cousin to play with.

Given that Beatrice and Eugenie are known to be very close sisters, there are sure to be many royal playdates organised.

The Queen

Princess Beatrice’s baby is the Queen’s 12th great-grandchild to date, having welcomed four royal great-grandchildren this year alone.

Zara Tindall gave birth to her third child Lucas Philip Tindall earlier this year, while Princess Eugenie also welcomed her son August.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry also welcomed their second child, daughter Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, over the summer.

The Queen is known to have a close relationship with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

So Beatrice’s baby daughter is likely to get to know her great-grandmother very well as she grows up.
