Meghan Markle 'isolated both sides of family' says sister

Samantha Markle insisted that the burden was on her sister to mend bridges after the Duchess of Sussex “isolated both sides of her family.” Meghan’s sibling has claimed that the Duchess had “ignored her father” since Thomas Markle’s heart attack which left him unable to attend his daughter’s wedding to Prince Harry.  It comes after the Duchess’ half-sister claimed Meghan has used her mental health to treat people “like dishrags”.

Samantha told the Sunrise news network: “I think the burden is on her.

“She is the one that isolated the entire family both sides of the family the Raglands and the Markles.

“She has ignored my father since his heart attack.

“It is only humane to make that right and no one can do that but her.”

The 56-year-old  has recently published The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister Part 1 – claiming to be a “tell-all” about Meghan.

Published in February, it claims to lay bare the rivalry between Meghan and Samantha when their father was still married to the actress’s mother Doria Ragland.

Following its publication, Meghan hit back saying she hadn’t seen her sister in nearly two decades and rubbished claims she knew anything about her.

She told Oprah: “I think it would be very tell all when you don’t know me. I grew up as an only child.

“The last time I saw her, 18 or 19 years ago and before that, 10 years before that.”

Samantha hit back, claiming “how can she not know me?” when she said they have photographs together.

She said: “I don’t know how she can say I don’t know her and she was an only child. We’ve got photographs over a lifespan so how can she not know me?”

In another blow, Meghan told Oprah her sister only changed her name from Grant to Markle when she began dating Prince Harry.

But Samantha insisted: “I was a Markle before her. Markle has always been my name.”

Meghan is the only child of her father’s second marriage to Doria Ragland.

Sources say Markle Sr “doted” on Meghan which may have fuelled resentment from her older siblings.

Royal reporter Omid Scobie said: “You look at the reality of their relationship. They’d only met each other twice after Meghan had left the home which she’d shared with Samantha at the age of two or three.”
