Tesco website and app DOWN as hundreds of shoppers report problems

The supermarket giant confirmed it was experiencing an issue with its website and app.
Many shoppers took to Twitter to express their frustration.
One user with the handle @Millmaaan said: “@Tesco When will your website be fixed? I need to amend my Click and Collect order before 12.15.”
Another, @KarenLindsay78, wrote: “@Tesco I’ve a click and collect order to complete before 12.15 and the website is not letting me, I have items to add and some items I no longer need in my basket. This is the message I get.”
A third, @foxyblue, tweeted: “@Tesco Do you have an eta when the website will be back up and running?”
Another, @HHarris777, said: “App and website still down..”
A fifth Twitter user with the handle @RonnieB91805312 posted: “@Tesco You site has issues, unable to to access the main website or app. What’s the timeline for fixing this?”
Another, @realcairyhunt, tweeted: “@tesco your website is broken. Mobile app too.”
One more, @alswifejacky, wrote: “@Tesco Your website is down. I keep getting the ‘something went wrong’ screen when trying to add goods to my basket.”
Tesco posted on Twitter: “We’re experiencing an issue with our website and app and are working hard to get things back up and running. We apologise for any inconvenience.”
