Video posted on social media showed officers from Police Scotland arriving at the Forge Retail Park in Parkhead, Glasgow and telling shoppers to “move” in no uncertain terms.

A police helicopter can also be heard above the scene, which is understood to have happened at around 7pm.

It is currently unclear whether the incident is connected to the Dennistoun bomb scare unfolding nearby.

Police rushed to an address off Alexandra Place in the east end of Glasgow around 3.30pm this afternoon following reports of a suspicious package.
