Teenager, 18, stabbed to death in east London
An 18-year-old man has died at the scene after he was stabbed in east London today.
The teenager died after an attack in Coolfin Road, Canning Town, at around 2.45pm.
Police and the ambulance service were called but were not able to save him.
A section 60 order, which allows officers to search anyone without reasonable grounds amid a risk of serious violence, has been put in place for the entire borough of Newham.
It started at 4pm today and will expire at 7am tomorrow.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: ‘We were called at 2.48pm today to reports of a stabbing on Coolfin Road, E16.
‘We sent two ambulance crews, a medic in a car, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a team from London’s Air Ambulance.
‘Sadly, a man died at the scene.’
