Jane Brown, 59, was subjected to the violent beating after the yob sneaked on board the 49-seater Mega Bus at a coach station. She had just dropped off passengers and was making final checks to end her long shift when the youth struck.

He demanded Jane drive her to his home and, when she refused, he assaulted her for several minutes in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A cash reward has now been issued to bring him to justice.

Liverpool Echo reports the thug even bit Jane, a gran-of-four, and pushed her head into the coach dashboard. She was left with serious bruises.

“This lad sneaked onto the coach as I was doing the luggage,” Jane said.

“He was just sitting there, expecting me to take him home.

“He called me all sorts of names, and told me I was chatting ‘s***.’

“He was right in my face so I pushed him away and he then started punching and biting me.

“I’ve got a thick lip, a bump on my head, and two big bite marks and bruises on my leg.

“It seemed to go on forever.”

It’s left me shaken up, I’ve done the job for 20 years, but this is the worst thing that’s ever happened to me while working

The mum-of-three, who lives in Hyde, Greater Manchester, is convinced the youth was either very drunk or on drugs at the time.

She managed to grapple him away and call the police in Liverpool, but remains traumatised.

Jane continued: “He was off his face.

“I’ll need to check if I need a tetanus jab, or something.

“It’s left me shaken up, I’ve done the job for 20 years, but this is the worst thing that’s ever happened to me while working.

“I just kept thinking, ‘what’s going on?’ as he was attacking me.”

The coach driver added: “Two young girls stayed with me until the police came which was really nice.

“They need to catch him, he’s a little toerag.

“At one stage, I asked him, ‘would you speak to your mum like that?’

“But he ignored that. I don’t go to work for this.”

Officers from Merseyside Police arrived at the scene and took a statement from Ms Brown, and are investigating.

Gareth McAllister, the coach company boss from MP Travel, based in Runcorn, Cheshire, said: “I’m absolutely disgusted.

“You don’t expect to come to work and deal with that.

“I feel so strongly about this that I’m going to put a cash reward so he is found.”
