Star Hobson, 16-months-old, died in September last year at her home in Keighley, West Yorkshire. Prosecutors said the young girl was “repeatedly physically assaulted over the weeks and months before her death”.

Frankie Smith, 20 and Star’s mother, has been found guilty of causing or allowing the death of a child.

Her partner, Savannah Brockhill, 28, has been found guilty of murder.

Frankie was found not guilty of murder and not guilty of manslaughter.
