Royal commentator Russell Myers claimed the Queen may be joined with other royals in her engagements going forward. While speaking on Lorraine with host Ranvir Singh, Mr Myers claimed the public could see more outings with Prince William and Sophie Wessex. He also praised Sophie and claimed she had been a source of tremendous support for the Queen as she mourns the loss of her husband Prince Philip.

Mr Myers said: “We may see the Queen do a bit more double acts.

“So whether she will be going out with Prince William, like a couple of months ago.

“Or with Sophie Wessex who I understand has been a tremendous source of support, I understand.

“Those two get on famously well and the Queen will need that support.

Prince Philip: Sophie Wessex praises the Queen

Speaking to Express.co.uk, buyer at Pure Collection Kate Stacey explained Sophie has been through a style transformation.

Ms Stacey said: “The Countess of Wessex has undergone nothing short of a style transformation in recent years.

She has moved away from pastel hues and unflattering lengths, she has turned to chic, simple dressing.”

Ms Stacey continued: “The Countess of Wessex also appears to have made more bold fashion choices in recent years.

“She has been favouring eye-catching patterns and bold colour combinations.

“Unafraid to experiment with block colours, it seems Sophie is happy to stand out.

“Perhaps this has been intentional and mirrors how her role in the Royal Family is changing.”
