Sophie melts hearts as she bonds with Guide Dog puppies
Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh are taking part in a puppy training class at the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association Training Centre in Reading as part of the Big Help Out, as the royals encourage communities up and down the country to get together and volunteer at local organisations. Their Royal Highnesses are at a pop-up ‘Coronation Cafe’, where the dogs are trained to get used to a bustling coffee shop environment.

The Duchess is also Patron of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
Other royals are out and about volunteering on the bank holiday, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, who are renovating a scout hut in Slough, and Princess Anne and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence.
The Princess Royal and the Vice Admiral are at Gloucester Cathedral for a County Civic Service recognising local volunteers.
The Big Help Out is rounding off the bank holiday weekend of celebrations for King Charles and Queen Camilla’s Coronation, as yesterday the country enjoyed a host street parties for the Coronation Big Lunch.
Yesterday Sophie and Edward tucked into a Coronation Big Lunch in Cranleigh, Surrey, where they were met with cheers from the excited crowd.
Sophie wore a patchwork shirt dress from Etro with her long blonde hair worn down, while Edward donned a green suit with a white shirt and no tie.
The relaxed style made a change from their majestic appearance at Saturday’s Coronation service, with the couple appearing on the Buckingham Palace balcony afterwards with their children Lady Louise Windsor and James, Earl of Wessex.

Sophie joined Kate and Camilla in wearing white for the ceremony underneath her resplendent Royal Victoria Order cape and a stunning floral headband in place of a tiara.
On social media, @Billybingbong2, commented: “Oh my actual God. I was disappointed when I heard no tiaras, but this is sensational. The Duchess of Edinburgh looks incredible!”
She accessorised with white pumps and a pair of diamond and sapphire drop earrings.
