Sophie delivers blunt four-word response to an ‘impatient’ Princess Charlotte

Princess Charlotte appeared to get impatient during Trooping the Colour this weekend after a lip-reading expert revealed what she asked her great aunt, the Duchess of Edinburgh. The young royal was spotted alongside her siblings, Prince George and Prince Louis and Sophie Wessex during the celebrations to mark the official birthday of King Charles. The group watched the service over Horse Guards Parade where Charlotte was seen chatting with Sophie.

Lip reader Jeremy Freeman told the Daily Star that at one point the young royal asked her great aunt: “Sophie how long will it be?”

The Duchess is said to have replied: “I think it’s now”.

Trooping the Colour was filled with over 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians coming together in central London.

For the first time in 30 years, the monarch joined the parade on horseback, while Prince William, Prince Edward and Princess Anne also joined him in the saddle, dressed in full ceremonial uniform.

For the occasion, Princess Charlotte, eight, wore a red and white sailor’s dress paired with the same pair of shoes she wore to the King’s Coronation last month, her Papouelli “Siena” Shoes in Cream Leather which cost £89.

Meanwhile the Duchess of Edinburgh, 58, wore a Beulah London Yahvi Midi Dress and accompanied with a hat to the occassion.

Sophie has worn this dress many times before, including at a pre-Coronation reception at Buckingham Palace last month.

It costs £695 and also retails in several other colours if royal fans wish to purchase the dress.

The Royal Family were out in full force with all three Wales children accompanying their parents for the occasion.

Senior members of the Firm then gathered on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the RAF flypast which featured around 70 aircraft.

Prince Louis stole the show once again with his animated facial expressions and cheeky antics.
