Sinkhole causes train cancellations between Aberdeen and Edinburgh
Train services between Aberdeen and Edinburgh have been cancelled due to a sinkhole underneath railway track in Leuchars.
Network Rail said disruption was likely to last until the end of the day.
The sinkhole has caused a dip of around a metre deep below one of the lines and will require three tonnes of ballast – stones to go below the track – to fill.
ScotRail said train services between Edinburgh and Perth, Kirkcaldy, and Glenrothes are still running.
Replacement buses from Dundee and Aberdeen have been put in place until emergency repairs are complete.
