A chilling 18-minute 999 call and bodycam footage of Penelope Jackson’s, 66, of Berrow, Somerset’s arrest was released after the end of the prosecution case.
During the call on February 13, Ms Jackson told the operator her 78-year-old husband was “in the kitchen bleeding to death with any luck.”
She added: “I killed my husband because I’ve had enough.
“I might go and stab him again. I am in the lounge, he is in the kitchen bleeding to death with any luck.
“He threatened me before, but he’s not threatening me now.”
After refusing to give her husband medical assistance she told the operator: “I know this is being recorded.
“I am compos mentis, but I have had enough of the abuse and the nastiness. I am not doing anything to help him,” she continued.
“He deserves everything he has got – I accept everything that is coming my way. I might just go and do it again.
“I did it the once and then he said ‘I wouldn’t do it again’ so I did it twice more.”
Footage of her arrest was captured by on police bodycam as she was led from her home to the officer’s car.
In the video, she is heard asking officers “can I get my coat?”
An emergency responder is also overheard in the footage saying paramedics need to get inside “pronto” to begin CPR, to which Jackson is heard responding: “Oh don’t! No no no, please don’t.
“I should have stabbed him a bit more.”
In the footage, Ms Jackson calmly explained how she hoped her husband wouldn’t pull through.

When being arrested, the defendant admitted to stabbing her husband, saying she had to do what she had to do.
Ms Jackson said: “Remorse is easy, it’s been a long time coming – I did it, I’m guilty.
“If I was given the chance, I’d do it again, even if they locked me up for 125 million years it would still be worth it.”
She added: “I should have walked away years ago but you don’t, I deserve everything that is coming my way because you shouldn’t do what I did.
“Sometimes you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do.”
The court heard how Ms Jackson had been charged with murder, however, the 66-year-old denied this charge.
While Ms Jackson denied the charge of murder she pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
She claimed she needed a way out of what she described as an “abusive relationship”.
