Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8 and after making the journey from Balmoral to London, her coffin is currently lying-in-state in Westminster Hall to allow members of the public to pay their respects ahead of her state funeral. A procession of 200 musicians will lead the Queen’s coffin to Westminster Abbey, arriving at 10:52 for the service to begin at 11:00.

The Abbey is expected to be filled to its full capacity of 2,000 with the Royal Family, politicians, world leaders, and European royals filling the congregation.

At around 11:55 the Last Post will sound, and two minutes silence across Britain will be observed.

Reveille, the national anthem and a lament played by the Queen’s piper will close the funeral around midday.

The coffin will then travel to Wellington Arch with King Charles III and senior royals walking behind in the procession.

Her Majesty will be taken by hearse to St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle for a committal service at 16:00.

The Queen’s coffin will be laid to rest beside her husband Prince Philip, who died in April last year.
