Detectives have urged sex party guests to come forward and contact police after a man was charged with deliberately spreading HIV. 

Luke Davis, 29, has previously denied the criminal transmission of the virus and is due at Worcester Crown Court for a plea hearing on November 24. 

It relates to one victim, but police want to hear from anyone who has received sexual services offered via social media platforms and/or visited adult parties in Lyndholm Road, Kidderminster. 

They may have been offered under an alias, such as a 26-year-old bisexual named Naomi, West Mercia Police said. 

Superintendent Mel Paley said: ‘We acknowledge people may be concerned about this case.  

‘In publicising it we have taken careful consideration to ensure the right balance between protection of the public and protection of the defendant’s rights to a fair trial. 

‘If you are concerned there are several ways you can contact the investigation team or seek support.’ 

Police said the risk of transmission of HIV remains low but has encouraged anyone who believes they may have HIV or any other sexually transmitted infection to have a test. 

Anyone who feels they may be affected should call 101, ask for West Mercia Police and tell the call handler they wish to make a report in relation to Operation Origin, the force said. 

Investigators can also be contacted by emailing [email protected] while a third-party report can be made by a sexual health service provider, which should reference Operation Origin.
