Police are appealing for witnesses as two women and one teenager have been sexually assaulted over the last month in Buxton, Derbyshire.
The first assault took place in Pavilion Gardens at about 10pm on November 18; the second, two days later, at about midnight, in Byron Street, and the most recent one, on Harpur Hill Road on Friday.
Officers said the latest happened near the junction of the A515 at about 11.30 pm on December 3.
The victim, a woman in her 30s, was grabbed from behind by a man wearing dark clothing.
She managed to free herself from his grip and run home.
Det Sgt Nicola Bateman said investigators were linking the three attacks.
She claimed: “My team are currently working through a number of lines of enquiry in relation to these incidents and I would urge anyone who has any information to come forward.
“It may be that you know a man who has been acting differently in recent weeks, or you may have seen someone in the area at the time of any of the incidents who may be of interest to the team.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Derbyshire Police stating reference number 21000705684 online, by calling 101, or through a private message on Facebook (/DerbyshireConstabulary) or Twitter (@DerPolContact).
Details can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

In the year ending in June 2021, the Office for National Statistics said recorded sexual offences had increased by 8 percent, reaching record numbers.
While there was a drop in overall crime levels driven by coronavirus restrictions, rape offences increased drastically in April and June, with 17,300 reported rape offences as opposed to a quarterly average of 12,000 to 15,000.
The ONS report said: “Rape accounted for 37 percent of all sexual offences recorded by the police.
“The number of rape offences in the year ending June 2021 was the highest ever recorded annual figure to date (61,158 offences).”
Nick Stripe, head of crime statistics at the ONS, wrote on Twitter: “The rise could be due to an increase in victim reporting as lockdowns eased, an increase in the number of victims, or to an increase in victims’ willingness to report incidents, potentially as a result of high-profile cases and campaigns in recent times.”
