The future heir to the throne has received a lot of attention in recent weeks after he was seen celebrating England’s progression in the Euro 2020 football tournament. Royal fans are delighted to see the young prince whenever he makes a public appearance.
However, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk that, although Prince George has stolen the show recently, Prince WIlliam and Kate Middleton are trying to raise George as normally as possible.
He said: “William and Catherine have specifically tried to bring up George, who will shortly be eight, in as normal a way as possible.
“As he is the future King, there is enormous interest worldwide when he appears at events such as the Euro 2020 final, where his downbeat demeanour reflected all of our emotions.
“From his scene-stealing antics on the Cambridges Antipodean tour in 2014, to appearances in photographs taken by Catherine, from his enjoyment of the garden she created at the Chelsea Flower Show to photographs on special occasions such as birthdays and weddings and his first day at Thomas’s School in Battersea, he has become a star performer in front of the camera.
“The photograph of him with President Obama in a bathrobe five years ago was especially delightful.”
Last month, Prince George and his sister, Princess Charlotte, performed their first ever royal duties under the supervision of Prince William.
Cheering on runners at the Run Sandringham race in Norfolk, proud dad William encouraged the children to clap when the runners came past.
William and Kate have been protective of their children’s privacy but share family photos to mark important milestones.
When asked whether Prince William and Kate Middleton should shelter him from duty and the spotlight, Mr Fitzwilliams said: “The Cambridges have handled this exposure with the greatest of care as it is essential he is otherwise left alone by the media.
“In future they are likely to strike exactly the same balance, which they feel gives the waiting world periodic glimpses of him, but ensures he otherwise has the privacy which he needs whilst he grows up.
“As he gets older, depending on the circumstances, we are likely to see more of him.”
Following the Euro 2020 final on Sunday, despicable members of the public criticised the young royal on social media.

And observers believe that, as a result of the game, the Royal Family will make more of an effort to protect Prince George.
Royal expert Robert Jobson told Sunrise: “With George, he got quite a lot of social media attention.
“Some were critical about him wearing a shirt and tie like his dad which I thought was very harsh.
“He has been very popular but I think they are going to try and keep him out of the limelight a little bit.
“They are very conscious of that.”
