Sarah, known as Fergie by friends and family, revealed on Twitter the titles and covers of her new upcoming book series – Helping Hands. The Duchess of York added any revenue from the sales of these books will go to charity.
The recipients, she revealed, will be her own new charitable venture, Sarah’s Trust.
The new book series aims at providing a guide to children regarding common issues they may encounter – including bullies at school or dealing with strangers.
Royal fans welcomed the news on Twitter, with Francine writing: “That’s fantastic!!
“Kids can learn important values and life lessons from these books, and all the proceeds to good causes!”
Twitter user Lisa Mundy added: “So excited”.
Fergie launched the Sarah’s Trust in mid-June with the aim to make “a long-lasting difference to vulnerable communities”.
At the height of the coronavirus pandemic in April and May, Fergie organised the delivery of several meals, snacks and more luxurious items to NHS staff and care workers.
She later revealed these donations had been organised through her new charity, which connects those able to give away goods with those in need.
A statement issued on the charity’s Instagram page read: “Sarah’s Trust is a new charity dedicated to acting as a bridge between individuals and organisations whose social responsibility and financial ability enables them to give philanthropically and charities who can show that their donations will be directed exactly where they are needed most, ensuring impactful and long-lasting change in vulnerable communities.”
In one post, Sarah talks about the charity’s message in a video, saying: “Sarah’s Trust is about collaboration, it’s about unity, it’s about partnership, it’s about the smile of a child, the health of a nation and it’s from the heart.
“We’re here to serve and we’re in service to make your life better.”
Over the past two decades, Fergie has written more than 25 books.
The Duchess recently released three more books titled The Enchanted Oak Tree, Genie Gems Meets Arthur Fantastic and Genie Gems Mission to Devon.
To mark the occasion, Sarah was given a cake in the shape of her character from The Enchanted Oak Tree.
These new stories have been released as part of a seven-book deal struck in February by Fergie and Australian publishing house Serenity Press.
During the pandemic, Fergie kept children entertained not just with her books but also with another new venture.
In April, she launched a new Youtube channel where she has been reading a children’s story every day.
Ahead of yesterday’s video, the Duchess introduced on Twitter a new friend – a dog she held on her lap in a picture shared on social media.
