Sarah Ferguson has shared two sweet throwback photos to mark her eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice’s 35th birthday.

The author took to Instagram to share the snaps with her 616,000 followers, including one image of the pair at a polo match in 2004.

Under the photos, Sarah wrote: “Happy birthday Beatrice. You’ll always be my girl.”

In the image, a then-16-year-old Beatrice can be seen sporting a white shirt and a floaty midi skirt.

Sarah, who passed on her auburn hair colour to her eldest daughter, is seen chatting away to her then-teenage daughter.

The second image that Sarah chose shows a very young Beatrice.

In the picture, Beatrice is donning sunglasses as she sits in the back of an open-top car, with her mum sitting in the front.

The second image was taken in 1996, when Beatrice would have been just eight.

Now aged 35, Beatrice has a daughter of her own – Sienna, who will celebrate her second birthday next month.

Sarah, who is a proud grandmother-of-three, recently shared a rare detail about Beatrice’s mini-me.

The 63-year-old said that the little girl looks just like her royal mum.

Sarah also shares a second daughter with Prince Andrew – Princess Eugenie, 33.

Through Eugenie, Sarah is grandmother to two-year-old August and Ernest, who was born in May.

Beatrice was born on August 8, 1988 at London’s Portland Hospital.

Beatrice, who is currently ninth in line to the throne, is also step-mother to her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s son.
