Sarah Ferguson shares retro glimpse into Royal Lodge with children’s Youtube channel

Sarah Ferguson attempts to flip a pancake

Posting to her Instagram story, the Duchess of York said: “Today at 4pm on @storytimewithfergieandfriends I am going to be making Mr Wolfe’s pancakes. Swipe up for my channel #storytimewithfergieandfriends Jan Fearnley.” But while cooking pancakes for the show, Sarah shared a view to her second kitchen in the Royal Lodge.

HELLO! Magazine reported the episode was shot in what appeared to be the staff kitchen on the property.

The video shows Sarah cooking with industrial sized stainless-steel cookware with a large gas stove.

Also spotted in the industrial kitchen was a grill above the stove and stainless-steel walls.

The kitchen featured a large amount of space for chefs, but wooden utensils and salt and pepper jars added a retro touch.

Other social media snaps from the Duchess showed off her personal kitchen.

A picture taken by Sarah’s assistance Antonia Marshall showed off wooden flooring and cupboard with black marble worktops.

Sarah also revealed a picture of the kitchen in June last year, where she baked cupcakes whilst under the UK’s first coronavirus lockdown.

Her snaps showed sleek beech kitchen cabinets curved around a back wall with dark worktops on which stood a television and a bowl of fruit.

During the Duchess’ latest video she taught viewers how make a thin pancake.

Sarah attempted to flip a pancake but folded it in half, causing her to giggle and crack jokes.

The Royal Lodge has been Sarah’s home since 2003, where ex-husband Prince Andrew leased the Grade II listed home for 75 years.

The Duke of York’s lease agreement required him to pay £7.5 million in refurbishments.

Sarah launched her YouTube channel in April 2020 just after the UK entered lockdown.

She said at the time: “Thinking about all the children out there who need a little bit of magic, and you’re not alone.

“And so, everyday I’m going to do story time with Fergie and friends, not just Fergie. You’ll have to wait and see it’s going to be very exciting and don’t worry, they’re not very long books.”

Since then, she has uploaded 326 videos including her “Budgie The Little Helicopter” series.

It comes after the Duchess revealed she “personally donated” more than 250 sleeping bags and supplies to homeless people ahead of New Years Eve.

A post on Sarah’s Trust, the Duchess’ charity, said: “Today Sarah Ferguson has personally donated over 250 sleeping bags and supplies to Under One Sky London who will distribute among the homeless.

“Under One Sky are volunteer led, set up to support vulnerable communities in the UK.”
