The Princess, who turned 31 years old on Tuesday, was serenaded with an adorable video montage created by her mother the Duchess of York. The short message, which the Duchess shared on Twitter, involves a stunning view of her garden with a particular focus on the recently bloomed daffodils and a view of some other alluring fauna.

Over the top of the video, text reads: “Happy Birthday dearest Eugenie. When I see the colour of spring, I think of your birth and what a gift you are.

“Budding with colour and love xx.”

In response to the video, Twitter users flooded in to wish the princess a happy birthday.

In a separate post the Duchess of York also shared a couple of baby pictures of the Princess and expressed her joy and gratitude towards them.

In the pictures, one shows Sarah with Eugenie riding on a carousel together, while the other shows the princess sitting in a flowerbed of daffodils.

She penned: “The joy of children. In deep gratitude for my luck in my glorious girls. Happy Birthday Eugenie.”

Again social media users were quick to provide well wishes to the princess, with one user writing: “Well done, Sarah! She is not only beautiful on the outside, but a lovely person inside as well. She is accomplished and a true lady. I’m very happy for you and Andrew. I wish your entire family well. Happy Birthday, Princess Eugenie!”

Another wrote: “I just wanted to send my birthday wishes for Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie. May you have many many more years and lots of years of blessings”

Princess Eugenie recently became a mother herself when she welcomed her son, August, into the family in February.

The Duchess of York told Hello! That she was “excited and thrilled to have become a grandmother.

“August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, a wonderful grandson and he brings such joy, smiles and love to all our family.”

Princess Eugenie is tenth-in-line to the throne, coming after her older sister, Princess Beatrice, with her newborn son, August, becoming eleventh in line.
