Sarah Ferguson ‘exiled from Sandringham House’ by furious Prince Philip
Sarah Ferguson ‘loves seeing herself on The Crown’ says Myers
The most notable of these scandals was the embarrassing toe-sucking photograph that ended up plastered on the front pages of British newspapers. Sarah ‒ also known as Fergie ‒ is the ex-wife of Prince Andrew, although they still live together many years after their split. Sarah is said to have fallen out with her father-in-law the Duke of Edinburgh many years ago and their relationship has never recovered, unlike her friendship with the Queen.
Philip felt that she had humiliated the Royal Family after scandalous pictures of her and an American businessman John Bryan hit the tabloids.
She had also managed to get herself into a lot of debt, which the Queen point blank refused to pay off for her.
Nearly two decades later, Fergie found herself in hot water again when she was filmed by the News of the World offering access to Andrew in exchange for money, cementing Philip’s opinion of her.
The feud has lasted so long that Fergie still isn’t allowed to stay in the ‘Big House’ at Sandringham at Christmas, but stays at Wood Farm nearby instead, an insider told Express.co.uk.

The source claimed: “When she comes up for Christmas, she’s not allowed to stay in the house.
“To be frank, the Duke of Edinburgh doesn’t like her.”
This is true of all visits to Sandringham, the source explained, including family gatherings throughout the year.
They told Express.co.uk: “They all stay in the main house apart from the Duchess.
“Philip detested Sarah and has never forgiven her for what she did in America.”
Philip, 99, who usually can’t stand to even be in the same room as Fergie, put his feelings aside during the weddings of her two daughters, Eugenie in 2018, and Beatrice in 2020.
At first, he threatened to boycott Eugenie’s wedding to avoid coming face-to-face with his daughter-in-law.
However, in the end he showed up to his granddaughter’s big day and even posed for several wedding photos that also featured the Duchess of York.

A palace insider said at the time: “Prince Philip has agreed to pose in the wedding snaps alongside Eugenie’s mother Sarah, Duchess of York.
“It will be the first time the pair have been pictured together in 26 years.”
However, royal sources claimed Philip did not speak to Fergie at all during the day.
Prince Charles has also kept Fergie at an arm’s length and kept her off the guest list for the evening reception he threw for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding in May 2018.

In 2019, Philip refused to spend time at Balmoral with the Duchess, which ended up cutting her summer holiday short.
Royal commentators claimed they “can’t be in the same room together”.
Fergie remains in a royal limbo, where she has kept her title but is not invited to many royal events and does not get to enjoy many of the luxuries of royal life.
That said, she has continued to live at Andrew’s home The Royal Lodge in Great Windsor Park and has a yearly allowance from the Queen.
Fergie and Andrew have remained close since their divorce and the prince’s ex-wife has stood by him through all the fallout from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
Speaking of their relationship in 2013, Fergie said: “He’s still my handsome prince, he’ll always be my handsome prince.”
She added: “We really believed in being good parents for our girls.
“In our evey day, we really respect each other and we honour each other.”
