The body of a woman has been found during the search for a missing 24-year-old on Ben Nevis.

Sarah Buick, from Dundee, posted a selfie on social media from the top of the UK’s highest mountain at around 5am on Tuesday.

It was captioned: “Good morning from Ben Nevis!”

The experienced walker, from Dundee, was reported missing later that day.

Police Scotland said a body recovered from the mountain range is yet to be formally identified, but that Sarah’s family has been informed.

The force added there are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
