Billionaire media mogul Rupert Murdoch has reportedly found a new love and the prospect of another wedding, some 66 years after the first, could be on the cards.

Earlier this year, Mr Murdoch, 92, announced his divorce from Jerry Hall and asked his girlfriend, 66-year-old Ann Lesley Smith, to marry him just seven months after meeting her. 

The engagement was shortlived — less than a month — and Murdoch apparently called it off after he became “increasingly uncomfortable with Smith’s outspoken evangelical views.”

However, he has most recently been spotted with a new woman, Elena Zhukova, a 66-year-old marine biologist and the former mother-in-law of Roman Abramovich.

In a photo, Zhokova and Murdoch sit close together, in sunhats and shades beneath a sign reading Happyland.

A source told Drudge Report: “He’s got the energy of people half his age and he might just be in love again.”

Mr Murdoch first tied the knot in 1956 when he exchanged vows with the Australian former flight attendant Patricia Brooker.

His first marriage lasted for 11 years and the couple parted ways in 1967.

He then married Glasgow-born Anna Torv who was working for Murdoch’s Sydney newspaper, the Daily Mirror. Ms Torv had reportedly requested to interview him.

She recalled during a 2001 interview for Australian Woman’s Weekly: “He was like a whirlwind coming into the room. It was very seductive.” Murdoch has also spoken of his instant attraction to her, confirming that her skill as a reporter was not on his mind.

During their marriage — his longest at 32 years — she escaped kidnapping and death in 1969 when Murial McKay, the wife of Alick, Rupert Murdoch’s deputy at News Limited, was taken by perpetrators who thought she was Anna.

The couple had three children together: Elisabeth, Lachlan and James. They divorced in 1999, two years after he first met a dazzling 29-year-old intern called Wendi Deng at Star TV, the Hong Kong station then owned by News Corp. His second wife reportedly received a cool $1.7 billion alimony before remarrying twice.

Mr Murdoch’s third wedding was with Wendi Deng, just 17 days after his divorce from Anna. The couple share two children, Grace and Chloe and both the children are now at prestigious US universities.

However, this marriage also did not last forever, either, and Murdoch put an end to his association with Deng in 2014. A year out of the dating game and two out of wedlock, Mr Murdoch married supermodel Jerry Hall in London in 2016, a week before his 85th birthday.

However, six years later in the summer of 2022, Hall received an email from her husband stating the marriage was over and she was to communicate with him via lawyers.

Hall was said to be heartbroken but by the end of the summer, their split was done and dusted — sealed with a slick statement: “Jerry Hall and Rupert Murdoch have finalised their divorce. They remain good friends and wish each other the best for the future.”

He later announced his engagement to 66-year-old Ann Lesley Smith, but unfortunately it lasted only for six months and Mr Murdoch is now believed to be with a Elena Zhukova, also 66 – a twice-divorced molecular biologist and specialist in diabetes
