Royals increasingly ‘worried about prospect of Meghan writing autobiography’
The Royal Family are reportedly becoming increasingly “worried about [the] prospect” of Meghan Markle writing an autobiography.
Ever since Prince Harry announced that he planned on releasing a memoir, many began speculating over whether his wife would follow suit with her own.
Harry and Meghan have both been very vocal about their time in the Royal Family and, according to an insider, the family are “worried” that Meghan could pen her own memoir – even using it to reveal the so-called “royal racist”.
During a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, Meghan told the host that a member of the family raised “concerns” over “how dark” their then-unborn son’s skin would be.
Meghan then alleged that there were “several conversations” with Prince Harry regarding it.

Just days after the interview was broadcast to the world, the Palace released a statement.
The statement read: “The issues raised, particularly about race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.”
The latest news over the family’s fear come after Meghan and Harry are reportedly planning on releasing an adaptation of Carley Fortune’s novel, Meet Me By The Lake, for Netflix.
A Palace insider reportedly told the Telegraph’s Camilla Tominey that the family fears that without a project to distract them, the couple could force more claims and allegations against the royals.

The insider added that, “if the film flops”, Meghan and Harry will “no doubt revert to mud-slinging”, adding: “Everyone’s worried about the prospect of Meghan writing her autobiography and naming the ‘royal racist’.”
The news of the Royal Family’s worries come just seven months after Harry released ‘Spare’.
In the highly-controversial book, Harry exposed more claims against the Royal Family – particularly focusing on his father, stepmother and elder brother.
Abiding by the late Queen’s belief of “never complain, never explain”, the royals didn’t publicly address their feelings towards Harry’s book.

Due to the family still adjusting to the King’s new reign, the royals got stuck in their important duties.
Particularly due to how damaging some of Harry’s claims were, all eyes were on the royals to see if they would respond to any at all.
Just two days after the book’s release, the King was spotted, seemingly ignoring any of Harry’s allegations, chatting away to members of the public during a royal visit in Scotland.
