Sophie, Countess of Wessex, 56, Prince Edward, 57, Lady Gabriella Windsor and Lady Amelia Windsor were among members of the Royal Family to attend the marriage blessing of Flora Alexandra Ogilvy and Timothy Vesterberg at St James’s Palace on September 10.

The bride Flora is the granddaughter of the Queen’s first cousin Princess Alexandra and her status within the Windsor family warranted a full-blown royal ceremony.

While Flora and Timothy actually married last year, the pandemic prevented them from having the wedding of their dreams so they went ahead with a blessing ceremony to properly mark their union on Friday.

The ceremony was held at St James’s Palace where the Queen’s granddaughter Princess Beatrice, 33, and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi had originally hoped to have their wedding before the pandemic dramatically altered their plans last summer.

Flora looked stunning in a gorgeous embroidered gown by British couture bridal designer Phillipa Lepley.

The dress featured delicate sheer long sleeves and a sweetheart neckline.

She polished off her look with an embroidered veil secured into her curled hair by the Ogilvy Tiara.

The spectacular tiara features pearls and diamond floral ornament and she set it off by carrying an elegant white bouquet.

Her husband Timothy opted for a traditional look Timothy and wore a pin-striped morning suit, a cream waistcoat and a pale blue tie.

Flora shared news of her actual wedding last year on Instagram.

At the time she wrote: “We are truly overjoyed and look forward to celebrating next year.”

The couple announced their engagement in 2019 by sharing a sweet photo on social media.

The caption read: “We’re engaged! My beloved Timothy asked me to marry him and we’re blissfully happy.”

Flora is the Queen’s second cousin, her grandmother, Princess Alexandra, is the only daughter of Prince George, Duke of Kent and Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark.

Princess Alexandra married the Hon. Angus James Ogilvy at Westminster Abbey in 1963, and the couple went on to have two children, James and Marina
