Royal wedding 2020 date, venue, guest list, wedding dress – everything you need to know
Princess Beatrice, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, will marry property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in the first royal wedding of 2020. The Queen’s granddaughter became engaged to Edo while on holiday to Italy in September 2019. Here’s everything there is to know about the royal nuptials.
When is Princess Beatrice’s wedding?
The royal nuptials will take place in just over three months, on May 29, 2020.
The date was confirmed by Buckingham Palace on Friday, February 7.
The Palace said: “The wedding of HRH Princess Beatrice of York and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will take place on Friday 29 May 2020.“

Where will the royal wedding take place?
Princess Beatrice and Edo will marry at The Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace.
The chapel is intimate and can only seat up to 150 guests.
The chapel has been used for royal weddings and christenings over the past few centuries, including the baptism of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s children Prince George in October 2013, and Prince Louis in July 2018.
The chapel is likely to have special significance to the bride-to-be, who was baptised there herself in 1988.
The Chapel Royal has also hosted other royal nuptials including those of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1840, their eldest daughter, Victoria, Princess Royal in 1858 and the wedding of the Duke of York and Princess Victoria Mary of Teck in 1893.
Buckingham Palace confirmed the venue in a statement on Friday: “The Queen has kindly given permission for the ceremony to take place at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace.
“The ceremony will be followed by a private reception, given by The Queen, in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.”

Who will be invited to the wedding?
Although the guest list has not been released by the Royal Family, the nuptials are likely to be an intimate affair.
As the chapel can only play host to around 150 guests, the wedding will be significantly smaller to that of Beatrice’s sister Eugenie, who invited 800 guests to St George’s Chapel in Windsor in 2018.
Likely to be on the guest list is Beatrice and Edo’s close family.
On Beatrice’s side this includes sister Eugenie and husband Jack, parents Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, grandparents Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II and cousins Prince William and Prince Harry and their wives Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Meghan Markle.
On Edo’s side his parents Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi and Nikki Williams-Ellis and his son from a previous relationship Wolfie.
In addition, Princess Beatrice is known for her close friendship with A-list celebrities, who are likely to be invited to the nuptials.
This includes Ellie Goulding and her new husband Caspar Jopling, British Vogue editor Edward Enninful, Ayda Field and James Blunt.
What about the wedding dress?
Nothing officials has been revealed about Princess Beatrice’s wedding dress, but reports are suggested the bride-to-be could go with internationally renowned designer of luxury bridal gowns Caroline Castilian.
An insider told the Mail on Sunday: “Beatrice was seen popping into Caroline Castigliano in Knightsbridge.
“Though Caroline isn’t Italian, and takes her name from her first husband, she’s known as an Anglo-Italian designer because lots of her clients are from Italy.”
The luxury gowns sell between £15,000 and £40,000.
