Royal wedding 2019: Lady Gabriella and Thomas Kingston share first kiss as married couple

Gabriella, 38, who is the Queen’s first cousin’s daughter, and Thomas, 40, married in a stunning ceremony at the 15th century church for what was the third royal wedding in a year. Despite the event being a private, low-key affair, a small crowd cheered as the couple shared their first smooch outside the historic chapel in Windsor Castle. The Queen was the most senior royal who attended the family occasion.

Gabriella was escorted down the aisle by her father Prince Michael of Kent as guests including her mother Princess Micheal of Kent, Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice and Sarah Ferguson looked on.

The young royal who is 52nd in line to the throne became engaged to financier Thomas, who is a director of Devonport Capital, after he proposed last August.

The happy news was shared in a statement by Buckingham Palace back in September.

The statement said: “Prince and Princess Michael of Kent are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter Lady Gabriella Windsor to Mr Thomas Kingston.

“The engagement took place in August; Mr Kingston proposed on the Isle of Sark.”

Today’s event comes after Princess Eugenie, 29, married Jack Brooksbank, 33, in the same church last October and Prince Harry, 34, tied the knot with Meghan, 37, in the same spot last May.

New parents Harry and Meghan will celebrate their first wedding anniversary tomorrow, less than two weeks after welcoming Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor into the world.

Gabriella thrilled the crowds of well-wishers gathered outside the church when she stepped out of the car wearing a lace dress by Luisa Beccaria.

The bride, known as Ella to her pals, chose a white and blush pink gown for her nuptials.

She topped off her look with a diamond tiara that belonged to her grandmother, Princess Marina of Greece.

Gabriella wore a six-metre tulle veil, covering her face and hair.

The dress featured long sleeves, a fitted bodice and an impressive train.
