Royal SUPERDAD! Prince William reveals the book he reads to his children ‘all the time’
Prince William and his wife Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, often speak of their children. This week, the couple left George, 6, Charlotte, 4, and Louis, 1, at home as they toured South Wales, and couldn’t help but reveal some personal details of their happy family life.
Spotting a child reading Julia Donaldson’s book Room on the Broom Prince William exclaimed happily: “I read this to our children all the time!”
The Duke revealed he had met the author when she received her CBE for services to literature, and couldn’t resist thanking her for her work
William said: “I said ‘do you realise how many parents you have saved at bedtime?’”
He also revealed the books he plans to move on to next to read to his little ones.

The Duke said: “David Walliams also does good books for children – for a little bit older children I think.
“I’ve read one and it was really, really good.”
This isn’t the first time William has shown he’s different from the tradition of royal dads who rely on nannies to raise their children.
Both William and Kate are strict with themselves about always being there for bedtime unless impossible.
William has also spoken of playing games with the kids and taking them to their favourite events.
Shortly after Louis was born in 2018, William was spotted nodding off during a service in Westminster Abbey.
Louis was just a few days old, and William headed back to work for the Anzac Day service, a cause important to the Duke.
But, like any new parent, the strain was showing, and William couldn’t resist shutting his eyes.

He was widely praised by parents after the event for being relatable, putting in the hard work and sleepless nights with his wife.
Also this week, William paid tribute to the two main women in his life – his wife and daughter.

William sweetly replied: “Yes, she is lovely – just like my wife.”
Kate has always been vocal about her main priority: her family.
In 2019, she said her favourite pastime was spending time together with her family.
