Royal Snub: Harry and Meghan ‘airbrushed’ from family memory as photo removed from Palace

The prominent photo of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had been displayed on a large table in one of the palace’s grand foyers. It stood proudly opposite a picture of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children, and was last seen as recently as Christmas. But in a sign that Meghan and Harry are being airbrushed from royal history, the picture has since disappeared.

The removal of the picture will unlikely help to heal the rift that has developed between Harry and his brother William.

In the ITV documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, Harry admitted that relations between himself and William had become strained, and events since have only helped to drive them further apart.

The Palace will continue to hold fond memories for both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

It was in the Palace’s Sunken Garden that the couple announced their engagement to the world.

They also lived for a while in Nottingham Cottage, in the Palace’s landscaped gardens, before moving to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

Moreover, both Harry and William grew up in the Palace and later shared offices there, until announcing last year that they were splitting their Royal households.

In January Harry and Meghan shocked the world when they announced that they were stepping down from their roles as senior royals.

Under the terms agreed at a special meeting held at Sandringham, the royal couple will forfeit their HRH titles and will repay the millions of pounds of taxpayers’ money they spent refurbishing Frogmore Cottage.

They intend to spend part of the year in Canada and the US, as they pursue their new life.

The couple have put together an elite Hollywood team to pursue commercial deals, as they seek to cash in on their royal celebrity status.

According to the Mirror, a key member of the team is Nick Collins of The Gersh Agency.

Mr Collins acts as the agent for Tobey Maguire of Spider-Man fame, as well as Jamie Fox, and is now responsible for handling profitable film, TV and philanthropic offers for Meghan and Harry.

Other members of the crack team include Meghan’s former Beverly Hills business manager Andrew Meyer and Hollywood lawyer Rick Genow.

The team are exploring the possibility of working with Netflix, after the company’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos, said the online streaming company would welcome a deal with the royals.

In addition, Meghan and Harry will discuss how to promote causes close to their hearts, including the environment and the fight against HIV and AIDS.

The Duke and Duchess are also looking at earning potentially million of pounds in the corporate world, after Harry held exploratory talks about a role with the controversial US investment bank Goldman Sachs.

Royal sources told The Daily Mirror that contact with the US bank started back in November.

Harry could follow in the footsteps of other celebrities, such as David Beckham and Gwyneth Paltrow, who have been guest speakers at the bank’s “Talks at GS” events.

Although the bank does not pay its guest speakers, sources claim that it could pave the way for Harry and Meghan to establish a future profitable relationship.

The Duke of Sussex has already appeared as a guest speaker at an event sponsored by another US bank, JP Morgan.

The talk was held in Miami last week, where the Prince spoke about having therapy and his struggles to come to terms with the death of his mother Diana, Princess of Wales.
