Royal SHOCK: The Queen will be FIRST person to be notified of Royal birth – NOT Harry
The Duchess of Sussex is expected to go into labour soon, as the Royal baby is due either in late April or early May. Royal expert Victoria Arbiter told Entertainment Weekly that it would be the Queen who would have the honour of being informed of the delivery before the rest of the palace. She said: “The Queen will be the first to find out about the baby news.”
“I think Harry and Meghan are very keen to maintain maximum privacy for their child moving forward.
“As we understand right now, the media is going to be allowed on the Long Walk – that was the long stretch where the carriage procession took place following the wedding.”
A statement released by the palace said: “The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”
Meghan Markle is likely making birthing decisions “on the advice of her doctors” as her pregnancy poses “slightly higher risks”, Ms Arbiter added.
Meghan Markle’s age, 37, poses “slightly higher risks for a first time pregnancy”, claimed a royal insider.
Victoria Arbiter believes Meghan will be making her birthing decisions “on the advice of her doctors”.
The royal commentator told Entertainment Tonight: “There’s been a lot of talk that Meghan has wanted to have a home birth.
But I think Meghan is also going to be making all these decisions on the advice of her doctors.
“She is 37 which does pose slightly higher risks for a first time pregnancy.”
Ms Arbiter added: “She has been fit, well, healthy on every engagement, really energetic, People are crediting that to her yoga regime.
“Royals are very driven by duty, there is an expectation in terms of what they do in their public lives.
“But when it comes to their private lives everyone is incredibly supportive.”
Meghan and Prince Harry have settled into Frogmore Cottage ahead of the royal baby’s birth.
The pair have reportedly been offered a role in Africa working on behalf of the Commonwealth.
The couple would promote the UK and work with charities, according to The Sunday Times.
The new role would give Meghan and Harry the opportunity to enjoy a break from alleged divisions between the two royal couples while also allowing them to use their global appeal and popularity.
