The British Royal Family are estimated to worth around $500 million (£400 million) but this amount pales in comparison to other global monarchies.

The Thai royal family is currently the richest in the world.

King Maha Vajiralongkorn is estimated to be worth an eye-watering $30 billion (£24 billion).

The monarch’s wealth comes from investments made by the Crown Property Bureau.
