Royal shock: Meghan Markle eyes up £21million Canadian mansion in preparation for move

The Duchess of Sussex is eyeing up a mouthwateringly expensive Canadian mansion. According to The Sun, the stunning 6,900-square foot property is in the most prestigious area of West Vancouver offering breathtaking views across the ocean to the city skyline.

The mansion features six bedrooms and five bathrooms across four floors, all with panoramic windows letting in the breezy beach setting.

Gates to the home provide the royals’ much desired privacy, hidden by manicured hedges and a 20-foot beachside walls at the rear.

A property expert told the publication: “Meghan has expressed an interest in this beautiful house. It would be perfect for her, Harry and little Archie.

“The neighbourhood is known a haven for wealthy people and has a very laid-back atmosphere. I’m sure they would be very happy there, and they would be welcomed with open arms.”

A Vancouver-based property source said: “The house is a real gem in Kitsilano – one of the most desirable neighbourhoods in Vancouver.

“The area is particularly sought after by super-rich and image conscious young achievers.

“It’s close to Kitsilano beach, which is a very cool spot that does stuff like beach yoga in the summer.

“But best of all for Harry and Meghan, it’s quiet and locals respect each other and value their privacy.

“They’d fit in very well.”

JUST INQueen ‘heartless’ for taking Meghan Markle and Harry’s HRH titles…

It comes after the bombshell announcement that Meghan and Harry would leave senior royal duties behind, opting to live a more private life and split their time between the UK and north America.

On Monday, an emergency summit between Prince Charles, the Queen, Prince Willian and Harry was held to discuss the logistics of life after royalty.

Dubbed “Megxit”, an agreement was reached that the pair would leave the family and go their own way, with the financial aspect today partially resolved, revealing that Harry and Meghan would “pay back” taxpayer’s money sued to renovate their Frogmore Cottage.

In a deeply personal message, the Queen explained that she had agreed for Meghan and Harry to go ahead with the move.

More recently, the couple posted an update to their Sussex Royal Instagram account, supporting the move from the Rugby Union League for introducing the Mental Fitness Charter.

The post, however, was ill received, and sparked mixed reaction among royal watchers and fans.

The Rugby League World Cup draw was hosted by Harry, shortly after the Prince returned to Buckingham Palace to meet with his family ahead of the summit.

The Mental Fitness Charter looks to champion the importance of good mental fitness that is sustainable on and off the pitch.

Though the posts message seemed to go missed on several users, as one person said: “Just go away.”

Another wrote more sombrely: “Sadly you are stepping away.

“Why not stay and do the duty, and let your wife leave the duties?

“You are a prince and people look up to you.”

Another said: “Canadian taxpayers do not want to pick up your tab.

“Pay for your own security!”
