ROYAL SHOCK: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry REMOVED from Instagram photo on Palace account

Since the Duke and Duchess launched their own official Instagram account, Kensington Royal updated its picture and information. The account is now accredited to Prince William and Kate. The picture was updated to one of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their family.

The previous picture was of both couples from a charity event in February 2018.

The account now reads: “The official account of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, based at Kensington Palace.”

The updated picture is also an Instagram debut for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

There are reports Harry and Meghan will update their profile picture once baby Sussex arrives to reflect their children.

The royal couple have gained 3.2 million Instagram followers since setting up the account on Tuesday.

They now hold the record for the fastest ever account to reach one million followers.

Notably, the account has been followed by celebrities including Blake Lively, Gwyneth Paltrow and David Beckham.

The account has also been followed by Meghan’s friend, Priyanka Chopra and stylist Jessica Mulroney who commented on their debut post.

The couple’s first post welcomed fans to their new page and included 10 pictures of important announcements and charity work.

Meghan and Harry’s first message on the page said: “Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues.

“We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal.”

Meghan previously had an Instagram account, but her social media pages were deleted when she became a member of the Royal Family.
