Royal reveals VERY modern way family told of Archie birth while praising ‘great Dad’ Harry
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor to the world last week much to the delight of thousands of fans of the pair. Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Mike Tindall revealed he found out of the birth of baby Archie via WhatsApp. Mike announced last year he was part of a Royal Family group chat ahead of Prince Eugenie’s wedding.
Mike spoke of the details to the Daily Mirror: “My brother and then a few of Zara’s side like her brother Pete and the cousins are on WhatsApp groups.
“I wouldn’t say we’re cutting edge, but it’s just easier for some reason on WhatsApp.
“I’m in about 25,000 groups.”
Meghan and Harry are still in the early stages of their parenthood as they come to grips with the arrival of their first child.
However, Mike has praised Harry while insisting that he will be “great Dad”.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph Mike said: “He’ll be a great dad.
“Harry’s busy, but he loves playing with all the kids and he’ll be a good Dad.
“We’ll just let him ease into it himself, find out his own way.”
Recently the pair released a photo of their newborn child on their Sussex Royal Instagram page as Meghan celebrated her first Mother’s Day.
The image showed a picture of the baby being held by Meghan’s hand in front of a background of forget-me-nots – Princess Diana’s favourite flower.
In a caption accompanied with the image, the royals said: “Paying tribute to all mothers today – past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered.
“We honour and celebrate each and every one of you.”
