Prince Harry and Meghan Markle kept their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles when they stepped back from the Royal Family. In the final instalment of the couple’s Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan it was revealed that they were willing to give up their dukedom to leave the Firm, so should they revoke their titles now? Vote in our poll.

Over six episodes Harry and Meghan shared their relationship and the challenges they faced as a couple leading up to their decision to break away and start a new life together in the US.

During the fifth episode, Harry shared that the couple had looked to move to New Zealand and then South Africa but their plans had been scuppered by details being revealed ahead of time.

Ahead of their move to Canada in 2020, Harry was asked by his father, King Charles III, to put their plans in writing. Harry told the docuseries how he sent repeated emails on January 1, 2 and 3 to the then-Prince of Wales. He said: “In one of those I said that if it didn’t work out we would be willing to relinquish our Sussex titles if need be. That was the plan.

“We thought it would be good to give ourselves some breathing space, but we were also really passionate about continuing our work throughout the Commonwealth supporting the Queen.”

So what do YOU think? Should Harry and Meghan revoke their titles? Vote in our poll and leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
