Buckingham Palace released a statement earlier today in which it said the Queen was being kept under medical supervision at her Scottish estate as doctors were “concerned” for her health. Officials said that Prince Charles, Camilla and Prince William had already travelled to be by her side.
Other members of the family are said to be still travelling to see her, with a jet believed to be carrying a royal having landed at Aberdeen airport a short while ago.
ITV reports that all four of her children are now at the Scottish residence. Earlier, Princess Anne was said to already be there, with Princes Andrew and Edward en route.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have cut short a planned appearance at an awards ceremony in London to go to Balmoral.
The Duchess of Cambridge has remained at Windsor, Kensington Palace said, as it was the first full day back at school for children George, Louis and Charlotte.
Last October, Elizabeth spent a night in hospital, and has since been forced to cut back on her public engagements.
Other members of the royal family have had to take on an increasing number of her roles, especially during Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.
On Wednesday, she cancelled a virtual meeting with ministers after being advised to rest by her doctors.
However, the previous day she had been pictured appointing Liz Truss as the new prime minister at Balmoral, the 15th premier of her long reign.
The statement earlier today said the Queen “remains comfortable and at Balmoral”.
