Royal feud: Prince Harry and William will not stay together at Balmoral with their wives

Prince William and Prince Harry are expected to join the Queen and the rest of the Royal Family at Balmoral this summer. Balmoral Castle was bought for Queen Victoria by Prince Albert in 1852 for £32,000. It has remained the Scottish residence of the royal family ever since.

Concerns of a rift between the couples reached fever pitch when it was announced that Meghan and Harry would move out of Kensington Palace and into Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

It emerged that Harry and Meghan moved out because of space issues at Kenisington Palace.

Royal reporter Rebecca English said: “The truth is that there simply isn’t enough room at Kensington Palace for them and I know they have been looking at Windsor as a possibility since before the wedding.”

But now, a royal expert has claimed the young princes and their wives will not stay at the same location together, amid rumours of a fresh rift.

.Tensions reportedly started when Harry “read William and Kate the riot act” for not being supportive enough to Meghan ahead of the royal wedding.

The source told Vanity Fair that William, 37 and Kate, 37, will not be hosted at the castle.

They will, instead, stay in a cottage in the ground of Balmoral instead.

They also said the Queen, who be joined by a host of guests at the estate and if the Cambridges stayed elsewhere it would “ease the pressure”.

Despite the break being widely regarded as a summer holiday for the royal family, it is often ‘not relaxing’ with a busy schedule.

The unnamed source said: “It can get quite busy at what they call “the big house”, and it’s not especially relaxing even though it’s a holiday.

“There’s a daily routine which evolves around meal times, several outfit changes every day, sometimes five, and the Queen likes everything to run like clockwork.

“The focus is on being outdoors and in the countryside walking, grousing, fishing and hunting.”

The Queen retires to Balmoral in Scotland each year, where she is expected to remain until October.

The Queen usually arrives at the Aberdeenshire castle in mid-July.

However, this year she postponed her trip in order to swear in new Prime Minister Boris Johnson after he was voted in by Tory party members.

It is also thought the Queen plans to have a “quiet chat” with grand-daughter-in-law Meghan Markle.

An insider claims the Monarch will use the occasion to advise the new royal which things “could have been done better”.

It follows a series of PR mishaps over the last year as the Duchess of Sussex adjusts to her new life in the royal family.

Royal expert Phil Dampier previously told The Sun: “This might be a good opportunity to have, not an assessment of her, but a quiet chat away from the madding crowds as to how she thinks it is going.

“I think in quiet moments and quiet walks up by the river the Queen might have a few words of advice for her.”

It was recently revealed that Harry and William both share heartbreaking memories of their time at Balmoral.

They were staying at the castle when they learned about the tragic death of their mother, Princess Diana.

The princes, who were 15 and 12 at the time, spoke to their mother that day, and were looking forward to welcoming Diana home to the UK the next day.

Heartbreakingly, the princess was involved in a car crash in Paris that killed her that same night.
